One Year Limited Warranty

For clarity, each product's summary warranty terms and conditions will be those shipped with the product. The following document is a complete statement of the PERFECT FLASH™ Product Warranty.  By installing the product you agree to the terms and conditions of the complete warranty herein.

IDSC Warranty Information

This document contains warranty information for IDSC PERFECT FLASH™ branded products.

Limited warranty

This Limited Warranty applies only to IDSC PERFECT FLASH™ branded products.

IDSC guarantees that the PERFECT FLASH™ products that you have purchased are free from defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the Limited Warranty Period. The Limited Warranty Period starts on the date of purchase from IDSC or an authorized dealer. Your dated sales or delivery receipt, showing the date of purchase of the product is your proof of the purchase date. You will be required to provide proof of purchase as a condition of receiving warranty service.

During the Limited Warranty Period, IDSC will, at its discretion, repair or replace any defective component. All component parts or hardware products removed under this Limited Warranty become the property of IDSC. In the unlikely event that your IDSC PERFECT FLASH™ product has recurring failures, IDSC, at its sole discretion, may elect to give you a refund of your purchase price instead of a replacement. This is your exclusive remedy for defective products.

Unless otherwise stated, and to the extent permitted by local law, new IDSC PERFECT FLASH™ products may be manufactured using new materials or new and used materials equivalent to new in performance and reliability. IDSC may repair or replace IDSC PERFECT FLASH™ products (a) with new or previously used products or parts equivalent to new in performance and reliability, or (b) with equivalent products to an original product that has been discontinued.  Replacement parts are warranted to be free from defects in material or workmanship for ninety (90) days or, for the remainder of the Limited Warranty Period of the IDSC PERFECT FLASH™ product they are replacing or in which they are installed, whichever is longer.

Exclusions

IDSC does not guarantee that the operation of this product will be uninterrupted or error-free. IDSC is not responsible for damage that occurs as a result of your failure to follow the instructions intended for the IDSC PERFECT FLASH™ product.

The Limited Warranty does not cover expendable or consumable parts or the costs for any parts or labor associated with diagnosing, removal or reinstallation.

The Limited Warranty does not extend to any product from which any identification or date codes have been removed, altered or obliterated.

The Limited Warranty does not apply if the product was damaged or defective

1. as a result of accident, abnormal physical or electrical stress including lightning strike, misuse, abuse, contamination, improper or inadequate maintenance or other external causes;

2. by operation outside the usage parameters described for the product;

3. by loss or damage in transit;

4. by modification or service by anyone other than the IDSC service center.

Limitation of liability

If the IDSC PERFECT FLASH™ product fails to work as warranted above, IDSC's maximum liability under the limited warranty is expressly limited to the lesser of the price paid for the product or the cost of repair or replacement of any components that malfunction in conditions of normal use. Except as indicated above, in no event will IDSC be liable for death, injuries to persons, or any damages caused by the product or the failure of the product to perform, including any lost profits or savings, business interruption, loss of use or any other commercial or economic loss of any kind, or special, contingent, incremental, or consequential damages. IDSC is not liable for any claim made by a third party or made by you for the third party. This limitation of liability applies whether damages are sought, or a claim made, under this limited warranty or as a tort claim (including negligence and strict product liability), a contract claim or any other claim. This limitation in liability cannot be wavered or amended by any person. This limitation of liability will be effective even if you have advised IDSC, or an authorized representative of IDSC, of the possibility of any such damages or even if such possibility were reasonably foreseeable. This limitation of liability, however, will not apply to claims for personal injury.

This limited liability gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that may vary from state to state or from county to country. You are advised to consult applicable state or country laws for a full determination of rights.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY AND THE REMEDIES SET FORTH ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, STATUTORY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. AS PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IDSC SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL STATUTORY OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND WARRANTIES AGAINST HIDDEN OR LATENT DEFECTS. IF IDSC CANNOT LAWFULLY DISCLAIM STATUTORY OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES THEN TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL SUCH WARRANTIES SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY AND TO THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT SERVICE AS DETERMINED BY IDSC IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION.  No PERFECT FLASH™ reseller, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this warranty. If any term is held to be illegal or unenforceable, the legality or enforceability of the remaining terms shall not be affected or impaired.

If IDSC determines that damage/failure that exists is not covered by the warranty, the end user will be contacted to determine whether such damage/failure should be repaired for a charge, or whether the PERFECT FLASH™ product should be returned to the end user as it was received by IDSC. If IDSC cannot duplicate the problem or condition causing the return, the unit will be returned to the customer as: "No Problem Found" and an $20.00 evaluation fee may be charged. All associated transportation and handling costs are charged to the customer.

IDSC's warranty obligation extends only to products and parts manufactured or distributed by IDSC.

Customer responsibilities

To enable IDSC to provide the best possible support and service during the Limited Warranty Period, you will be required to:

  • Maintain a dry environment for the product to function in.
  • Install the product according to the directions provided with the unit or available at www.theperfectflash.com.

Customer self repair

There are no user serviceable parts in PERFECT FLASH™ products. Any attempted repair or modification to the PERFECT FLASH™ product as originally manufactured, other than by the IDSC service center as provided for above, will void the warranty.

Depot warranty service

Your IDSC Limited Warranty is a depot warranty. Under the terms of the depot warranty, you will be required to ship your PERFECT FLASH™ product to the IDSC Service Center for warranty repair. You must prepay any shipping charges, taxes, or duties associated with transportation of the product to the repair location. The IDSC Service Center will not accept any packages that arrive with charges owing. Be sure to package the items well. IDSC is not responsible for further damage caused to the unit due to inadequate packaging. In addition, you are responsible for insuring any product you ship, and you assume all risk of loss or damage during shipping. You must include a check or money order in the amount of $10.00 for return postage.

When returning a product for Warranty repair it must be carefully packed and shipped prepaid to:

You must include the following items:

  • A copy of your dated sales receipt or other dated proof of purchase.
  • A brief letter indicating the problem you are experiencing.
  • Include in your letter your return address, and daytime phone number. An e-mail address is optional, but helpful.
  • Also include a check or money order for $10.00 for return shipping, handling and insurance for in warranty repair.
